Fire Ash Duo

I cut the blanks from an ordinary white ash log with no visible signs of figure. So I positioned the shoulders of the forms under branch inclusions. The shine is so high after five coats of oil that I was not able to tone down the headlights.

Finish: Sandtextured, dyed red on black, oil finish
Dims: 6 3/4"H x 6 3/4 dia.,6 1/4"H x 6 1/4 dia.

So please tell me what you think.
