I was about to throw a piece of wood on the fire and noticed the great colour and figured grain and decided to turn it instead. I'm thinking of doing a firewood series and the pieces will be rustic, so no sanding involved. They will just be fun pieces.

This is the first one, a piece of eucalyptus as this is what we cut for this last winter.
