Pohutukawa bowl top

Pohutukawa bowl

Diameter: 225mm (8-3/4")
Height: 60mm (2-3/8")

The wood is more of that old Pohutukawa that I have been using lately. The leaf pattern is done with pyrography and painted with iridescent paint.
C & C welcome.
when i saw the thumbnail I was drawn to the color, and that it was on the rim & underside also. I thought it was inlaid shell or other material. I think this is really nice work

Robbie,
I also was drawn to the color it really makes you want to pick it up & caress the bowl. What paint did you use can you give a link to it.

Thanks Chuck

Hi Chuck, I water it down 25 - 50%, enough to make it flow into the texture. Some times I might need to put two coats on.
