Gary......the apple was wet sanded with Mahoney's Walnut oil and after a real good wipe down, this has two coats of General Finishes Woodturners Finish. I still have some finish work to do on it, but what is there needs to cure a bit first.
Roger, I have viewed this on several sites,
I keep thinking how a bit of red(ish) / amber dye on the stem would go to help blend the timbers together for a flow on effect.
the design is spot on
