Fruits & Nuts - Apple/walnut tall goblet

The apple came from Oregon, and the walnut from Virginia. The goblet is 10" tall and 3-3/8" wide at the rim.

Finish is still in process.
Gary......the apple was wet sanded with Mahoney's Walnut oil and after a real good wipe down, this has two coats of General Finishes Woodturners Finish. I still have some finish work to do on it, but what is there needs to cure a bit first.

Roger, I have viewed this on several sites,
I keep thinking how a bit of red(ish) / amber dye on the stem would go to help blend the timbers together for a flow on effect.
the design is spot on :)
Pete

Thanks Pete, you comment is appreciated..........If I do any color on the stem, it will be some ebonizing......still thinking on that one!
