Glacier

Continuing with my newly acquired skills and obsession, Glacier, a maple hollow form. Pattern carved using the pyro-engraving techniques as done by Jacques Vesery and Laurent Niclot, followed by their dry-brush painting technique.

The color and pattern was based on my memories of being in Alaska and watching the Kenai river rush by as I fished for Coho Salmon. The river is glacier fed, as many of the rivers and lakes are in Alaska. The color is a brilliant turquoise, just like this piece. Hence the name, Glacier.

Dimensions: 7" H by 5.5" wide at the shoulder.
