Hackberry Vase/Candle

Same text here, just a different view.

This is a Hackberry candle and vase. It was quite a challenge because of a lot of punky wood. Hollowing out both sides was a bit tricky too. There is only 1/4" of space between the top and bottom funnels. I could use some honest help on this one. I'm really not sure of the brown color on the vase. I tried blue, black and green and didn't like any of them. Any comments or new ideas on the brown would be appreciated. Being color blind can be tricky sometimes. The candle is glued in place and acts as a ballast when using the vase. The outside was dyed yellow. I put a fair amount of work into this and wouldn't like it to be just OK. Finished with tung oil and Beall buffed. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.
