Kingfishers

This piece was inspired by the work of NZ turner Gordon Pembridge. It is 7 1/2"high x 5"dia and turned from sychamore, carved, pierced, pyrographed and coloured. It depicts two kingfishers, the UK's most colourful birds. one has caught a fish and the other is ready to dive.

Exquisite Gwilym! The carving and coloring are superb. There are many who are inspired by Gordon's work, but only a very few, including you, who can approach his mastery.
