Koa Rays

7"x4", Lacquer finish. Carved with dremmel tool. For this piece of Koa, I wanted a subject that reminded me of Hawaii. I chose Manta rays. (wood rays/ manta rays ;-)) ) This was my first carving attempt.
visually, i really like this piece ... the irregularity and complexity makes it very appealing ....it's a piece i wish i could touch.
