The inspiration for thie piece came from Malcolm Tibbetts work with tubular segmented construction. There are 2689 pieces of wood consisting of Bubinga, Cherry, Maple, quarter sawn White Oak, Walnut and one piece of Ebony that makes the transition to the granite base. Overall height is about 23" and width at the widest point is 16". All comments welcome.
You must have patience and inspiration in large doses! Well done!
