Lidded box -Stonewall Jackson Prayer Tree

This is some of the Civil War era white oak that gained its fame when General Stonewall Jackson and his troops held prayer meetings underneath it when he and 15000 troops camped between the middle and south rivers in the shenandoah valley campaign in May and June of 1862.

The box is 6 inches tall and 3.75 wide at the base
