Osage Orange

Wonderful work. How hard was osage orange to hollow? I'm impressed.

Thanks, John. I roughed this piece out when it was still green last August. I wraped it in a lot of newspaper and a paper bag. I stored that way for about six months, took it out of the bag and air dried it for another month before I finished turning it. So it wasn't to bad to hollow. I can image if I had hollowed the whole thing when it was dry, it would have been a nasty job.

You certainly have a feel for great form. Nice job.
