Pierced Vase

Holly. 6 1/2" x 4". This is my first attempt at piercing. I used this vase because it fell and got a small crack ( on back side of photo). I would appreciate your comments.

Your first attempt is a good one. To my eye, I would like to see more randomness to the pattern. The shape of the vessel is very nice. You state that you pierced it because of a crack - it's possible to have done a pattern to have hidden the crack. Also, if you plan to pierce again, I would aim for a thinner wall.

Thanks Don and Hal. I wondered about the piercing not being random enough. Your comments are very helpful.
