I could see the tree from our bedroom window, one of the last residents of the No More orchard. We gathered some of the wood but made nary a dent in the piles that were soon burned - t'would be like hauling sand off the beach.....
Progress can be a bit sad but not so for this piece of Rome Apple wood. New life as an addition to a new home as the new couple start their new journey together.
I find Karen's pastel egg shell pattern feature ring created with pyrography, bleach and artist's pens quite stunning and appropriate with only a hint of prejudice :)
