Strange Burl

Strange Burl

I think this is a Maple burl, but maybe what is called an onion burl. This came from a very large burl that mostly broke apart. I was able to get this one piece from it and it has been on the back of the shelf for a few years. It didn’t look that interesting, but after finishing it I think it cleaned up pretty good. It is about 9 ½” x 1 ¾” and finished with Danish oil.
