The ripple of time and tide

The ripple of time and tide

Maple, 9" turned offcenter then textured. Left slightly rough.
Done over the course of a year. No finish. A piece that does not lend itself well to photography, needs to be seen and handled. As seen in the IG at Richmond. All comments are welcome.
Ed, I saw it in Richmond and I saw the award it received justifiably. What a wonderful piece of art work. I would have been afraid to handle it but I sure enjoyed looking at it. I took several pictures but none do it justice. It needs special lighting to capture its depth.
