Turned box

First post. Not up to most of your standards but i'm trying.
Bradford pear box with cocobolo finial and base.
Steve, the figure and color of the pear is interesting. You found a nice piece of wood. I don't think you can say it's not up to most of the standards - looks great. The finial and base complement the box very well.

Well, I'm no pro, but this is an exceptionally beautiful piece! Gorgeous wood, design and execution. It's stunning. Is that a colored filler on the right?
Don L.

Very nice work Steve, You've turned more hollow vessels with finials than I have, and I've been turning for over 20 years.
Jim
