spalted pecan with redheart base and final

This was my first attempt at a hollow form with final. Yes i'm still a rookie. Thanks for looking and all help welcome.
Steve, we all start as rookies, and through practice, classes, watching advanced turners, etc., we improve. One of the best ways to get advice and help with your turning is to show your pieces to more advanced turners for critiques.

Pecan sure isn't the easiest wood to work with. You did a great job all around. Keep up the good work. You're sure moving in the right direction.
