Valentino

Valentino - a Valentine's Day gift.

He is in curly Sapele and sitting down is about 11 inches tall.

Finished in home brew wipe on poly and buffed through to Carnauba.

This little guy was a ton of work - I'll not be making more of these - LOL.

Arms, legs and head are held in place with j hooks and fat rubber bands.
Ohhhhh! I want him!!!!!!

Is he hollowed? If so, you're nuts. If not, is he very heavy?

Could you elaborate on how you rigged the rubber bands. Especially how you rigged the head.

Fabulous! I must have one! :)

Thanxs! :)

When the block for the body was still a rectangle of wood, I drilled a hole between where the arms and one where the legs attach. There is a hole where a flange on his head fits into, drilled with a forstner bit. He is not otherwise hollowed. :) A j-hook is screwed into each arm and leg and one on the bottom of the hole that was drilled for his head and one on the bottom of his head, a rubber band is attached and pulled through (surgical tools - retractors and such help here) and hooked to the opposite j hook. Make sense? LOL. -- J
