Walnut bowl from salvaged 6x6 beam

Walnut bowl from salvaged 6x6 beam

Was given a 6x6 walnut beam that was floating under a house after Hurricane Florence. Planed and glued two sections to make a bowl blank. Filled the large cracks with epoxy colored with black graphite. Had to do multiple epoxy applications as the bowl took shape and voids were exposed. Finished with Dark Danish Oil, Satin Waterlox, and dark wax.
@Jim McLain Thanks, that was your steady rest that saved the day for me. First time I had used it since I bought it from you but now I use it to reduce vibration frequently.
