White Oak box with African Black wood button inlaid in the top. With Sisal lacing over a crack in the piece. Finished with Danish Oil.
Gary,
The little box is intriguing with the lacing. I'm wondering what it would look like with black waxed linen? Did you try black lacing material?

Betty

No, I didn't think about it at the time. Now that you mentioned it, it does sound like it would look better with black lacing.

Gary

IMHO, the idea of using black lacing is a good suggestion, and might be something you could still do at this stage......believe it would set it off better, because it would match the blackwood button. Regardless, a very nicely done piece, Gary.....
