Wood & Glass bowl

Here's the first in a series of bowls to use a glass feature strip. This bowl measures 19" x 22" and 4.5" deep, it's made from African Padauk and is finished with tung oil and wax.

The white stripe is the sapwood I book matched to help break up all the red colored wood. The glass is 1/4" stainless steel wire reinforced with polished edges.

This bowl was cut into four segments after turning and is held together using the glass. The segments have 3/16" spaces between them.
