Yellow Gum Bowl

Yellow Gum Bowl

10" Yellow Gum bowl with large cracks and crotch figure. I always think that this bowl looks like a landscape picture. The bowl came from a tree that was chopped down on my property. It had been dead for a while and not dried properly so the blank had developed large cracks. I though the crotch figure was worth saving though. I just left deliberately rough tool marks on the rim and softened them with a wire brush. Shellack and beeswax finish.
