  1. Salad Bowl

    Salad Bowl

This is a large bowl, 17 inches across and deep enough to allow Caesar Salad fanatics to toss to their heart's delight. The rim also helps you hold the bowl if the hands get slightly oily.
  2. Unusual pattern

    Unusual pattern

I have never seen such an unusual grain pattern in hard Maple. It looks almost like raindrops on a window.
  3. Fuit bowl

    Fuit bowl

This piece of Black Walnut had some bad scar tissue (for want of a better description) so I tried ebonizing it with vinegar and steel wool. The scar marks disappeared and the mix gave the Black Walnut an incredible intensity without hiding the grain.
  4. Zebra Branded Bowl

    Zebra Branded Bowl

The branding is done with an 18-gauge nichrome wire coiled about 4-5 times, using Graeme Priddles' branding method. Special thanks to Molly Winton & John Lucas for his instructions on developing the coil pen.

    16x3 Black Ash bowl

This is a wide shallow bowl of Black Ash. The bowl is turned thin with a wide, slopeing in rim.
  9. Sugarberry Bowl

    Sugarberry Bowl

10" diameter, finished with tung oil. Wood is partially spalted...what sugarberry isn't? :-) Often called hackberry locally.
