My large compressor is still down and I needed to spray some lacquer on a hand mirror. Since I just purchased a Grex air brush compressor and it has a lot more power than my older Iwata I thought I would jury rig an adaptor to my Harbour Freight touch up gun and see if it works. I cranked the pressure up to 35PSI and hooked up the hoses. It works perfectly. About 6 or 8 coats of lacquer and it was almost perfect. Just needed a little touch up with the Beale buffing system. A little more play on my dilution and how much retarder to put in and I might get a finish right off the gun. That would be a huge time saver on my ornaments that I mass produce. Here is a photo of the set up and a photo of the latest galaxy mirror done with with system.
