Ash hollow form with sap wood on top.
This is an inspiration, as I just picked up a bit of ash from a friend. I have been experimenting with sapwood inclusion/orientatoin in walnut.
 
I really try to pay close attention to the wood before I start turning. It makes a huge difference in the out come. thanks for the nice comments.
