One in a series of a new idea I'm experimenting with.

I started out cutting staves and adding the protruding elements but I wanted the body to be more uniform. The biggest challenges have been how to resolve the base and keeping the grain direction correct.

John These are very well done and original. I'm not sure how you do it. I would probably turn the outside of a bowl and rough the inside. Cut it up and glue in the contrasting pieces. then turn the inside. Is that even close? It does make one think. Excellent work.
