Amethyst Flavored Ash HF

Black Ash, 7.75 in diameter x 6.25 high x mostly .125 thick. Dyed with purple RIT dye and wire brushed to create contrast in color and texture. The purple looks amazing in person and the gold highlights were caused by using oil based wipe-on poly as the finish.

As always, your opinions, critiques and comments are welcomed!

Thanks for looking!
Steve,

I meant to comment on this piece over at SMC. I really like the form and the color and the orientation of the grain.

Very nice,

Alan

I'm with Alan on this one Steve, I think the form is absolutely Spot on & your colouring has not taken over the & robed the grain from showing of its beauty.
