Amur Maple Bowl

Amur maple is a light colored wood, and has a lot of figure. The tree is native to Asia, but this one grew here in the Shenandoah Valley. The leaves are very bright red in color, and turns out to be an invasive species which will overtake an area if left unchecked. The bowl here has a limb pocket in the grain. Approx. 11" diameter, and is finished with danish oil, sanded to 600 grit.
