Another Sliced Hollow Form

Another Sliced Hollow Form

Walnut with maple pewa across the slice. About 7" tall. Finished is Walnut oil.

I'm still experimenting with the basic style - this time, I tilted the pewa so they're perpendicular to the slice (previous ones had the pewa or splines aligned with the axis of the hollow form).
I'm thinking maybe a future version might have pewa at something like every 45º or 60º rather than 90º so the follow-the-curve tilt shows a bit stronger. And I have other ideas to go in different directions. Experimenting with variations on a theme is fun.... But I gotta get done with that bathroom shower project first...
