Here's the inside. Outside is finished with spray shellac and Beall buffed, inside is unfinished.

The pear is such a joy to work with. It's also very stable. The wood was soaking wet when I turned it - I had to keep wiping my faceshield. But after it dried, the lid fit only got slightly tighter. It's perfect now.
