Black Locust Burl Hollow Form

This is a little hollow form I turned from some black locust burl that's just gorgeous with golds and browns and cream colors, I don't think my photos do it justice. Turned green to finish, it's about 4" high, 2"dia., and less than 1/8" thin. Collar is Bois de Rose. Finished with oil and buffed with wax. All comments welcome
this is my favorite of the three pieces(all three are very nice), it really stands out, i am not familar with the Bois de Rose, it sort of looks like redheart but more consitant color??

I really liked working with the Black Locust Burl, I'd never seen it before or even heard of it for that matter, it really is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to doing a bigger piece. I have a burl that took 2 of us to pick up. I had never heard of Bois de Rose either, it might be a made up name. I got a piece from Gilmers, it is nice to work with like any rose wood and the color is an unusual dark burgandy with black stripes. I think it contrasted nicely with the yellow/gold of the locust and complimented the black piece as well.
