"OATS" Curly Spalted Maple Vase

This is another of the triangle stave segmented turnings I am working on. The veneer is walnut.
Bought some oil based poly by accident, it works well enough NOW, I had some miserable problems with oil sanding first... Had to do a lot of sanding, then water based sanding sealer to resolve the issue.
