Boule de Canton with star

As Bill suggested for the August 2022 challenge, I put my own spin on this challenge and did a 12-pointed Star in a Ball in a Ball in a Ball in a Ball and in a Ball on a spiral support with 2 outside spirals, one square (4mm x 4mm) and one rectangular (7mm x 4mm) with a twisted spiral at the center.
The 5 Balls and the Star within are from the same piece of boxwood 65 mm in diameter. The support is hard maple dyed, 22mm in diameter and 100mm high and the base is natural hard maple.
Great piece! I’m assuming the center spiral was turned separate and then install inside the two outside spirals? Do you have video or pictures of the process?

Thanks Paul!
No the support is one piece. I built a jig that can do this type of spirals. By changing a gear and replacing it with a rack I could do "rampant" turning like they were doing in the 17th century. With the same jig I should be able to do sinusoidal texture outside a box. I don't have a video but some pictures of the making.
I need to check how to add a PDF file and pictures to this post. I will check with Bill.

Thanks for the reply Jean-Louis, first picture I was thinking a rose engine lathe. Still quite impressive jig! And it is all one piece!. Thank you

Thank you Karen!
It is not that difficult to do. I am working on a Step-By-Step on what you need and how to do a Boule de Canton.
I will it in the Forum. I will check with Bill to see if it is the right place to put it.
