I really like the effect of the lines on this piece. How did you keep them so evenly spaced? They look to be carvedinto the surface? What tool did you use? Nicely done.
 
Dave, I burned them in with a pyrography tool. Just have to make a few reference lines to keep them from drifting off center and then anchor your little finger near the rim and pull the burning pen in a straight line.Actually much easier than you might think.Give it a try....
