Very nice Victor! I have been kicking around a similar idea over the last couple of weeks but hadn't found an exact solution. I have a large hollow form that I, unfortunately, cut through the sidewall when hollowing. I have been trying to figure out how to keep the two round pieces securely aligned so that I can out in splines, pew, etc. to join the two halves...and leave an interesting gap between them. May I ask how you secured the two pieces so that they would line up perfectly for your splines?

Thank you for your feedback. I didn't see your message right away. I cut the grooves for the splines using a micro-milling machine, which I assembled from a drilling rack and a drill.
