Butternut (interior view)

Butternut (interior view)

(2004 ?) Butternut - 7¼” Ø x 3⅛”h. Carved, pyrography, textured, acrylic paint.

Found this bowl while looking through some old inventory a few weeks ago. As I remember, this was a practice bowl to try out some new (for me) techniques and tools.

Probably too much going on in one piece, but after a year or two I started to like it a little bit. I believe this piece may have been my first venture into using color and embellishments on a bowl…..and it’s been downhill ever since!
