I prefer cherry over all our local wood for both turning and carving. Dixie Biggs said in our class, “ Nothing like putting that first coat of oil on a turned / carved piece of...I’m going to pick up twomore cherry logs as soon as it drops below 90*
. They are good size for hollow forms!
