cherry vessel with color

It's a cherry vessel with a carved surface. The surface is colored with gesso and light buffed to a sheen.

@george- it may just be the angle of the photo, but the "tiles" come to the major diameter of the piece, which is about at the golden ratio from the base... my studio photography skills aren't quite what they need to be.
