Quarantine has been a time of amazing creativity. I am so lucky to have extremely talented and generous friends to collaborate with and be inspired by.
Anthony Yakonick was kind enough to share some of his "double dyed" pieces with me to experiment on. I am growing crystals on wood turnings and then amping up the colors. Crystals and tie dye are a perfect pairing - ask any new age hippy!
This process is a combination of control and letting nature take part...but that is where the beauty lies.
