Cherry Bowl with Stitching

Cherry Bowl with Stitching

This is my first attempt at stitching a crack. The wood is ornamental cherry which had lost a a bark inclusion in the crotch. The stitching is dyed leather which is CA-glued on the underside. Size is about 14 inches across with 5 coats of wipe-on poly. I chose green for the stitching as the bowl will likely be used for colourful fruit and thought it would complement the fruit nicely.
