Macassar Ebony Bell Box

Macassar Ebony Bell Box

I got a little fancy on this one, turned from one of the rarer ebony's--Macassar Ebony (Diospyros Celebica) it sports a new rim treatment and wood species. Classic round bottom styling with the undercut domed lid, slightly bulging centerline and angled lid rim for a softer look. I updated the photo because the old one was just not right, so sorry for the deleted one! Turned, hollowed and finished with buffed wax and gloss lacquer. Size is 1 7/8" diameter and 1 3/4" tall. The wood turns like butter and finishes well so get yourself a piece and try turning it!!
