Spalted Tamarind Ginger Jar

Spalted Tamarind Ginger Jar

This is a traditional ginger jar form turned from spalted Tamarind (hat tip to Pete at Big Monk). Woods that are spalted throughout the grain or burls are ideal for this type of end grain box, since the figuring will show up on the top of the lid. Finished with satin lacquer, rubbed out, and given a coat or Ren wax. 3"w x 4" h.
