It rained Saturday for a while, something we have not seen much of this year. I took advantage of the time to escape from chores and return a roughed Butternut blank I had on the shelf. I do like turning Butternut; the cobweb figure so vivid in Bill Neddows bowls gives illusions of carving and a feature ring. Maybe I like it also because it does not grow up here, therefore it must be an exotic ;-))
The vessel has one coat of wiping varnish. It is 5 high x 6.5 wide.
