Continuous Twisted Rope Segments

This segmented turning was made from bloodwood, purpleheart and alder. The continuous twisted rope design was cut out on a bandsaw from stacked boards of the three woods. After interspersing the colored cutout sections they were glued with veneer separators and then cut into six staves to form the center twisted rope design. Height is 4 1/2 inches and diameter is 3 3/4 inches. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
