once upon a time, way before there was Google, there was a word search program that turned off common words like “begin” and thousands of others because they generated too many hits. So when users searched on“begin” expecting lots of articles on the now late Menachem Begin the got “invalid search” and the programmers got a design opportunity.

@hockenbery No, BEGIN just happened to appear after the dials were randomly turned. It has no significance and does not open the box...

@Curtis Fuller The grandkids will love them, and you’ll have fun making them. The wheels can be tricky to get just right.

How about a Cryptex Box that can only be solved by lining up the wood grain? Too Easy?
