For Zarr

For Zarr

The title of this one is 'For Zarr'. It is my attempt at a cremation vessel for his remains (he was one of our pet cats). Spalted Box Elder, home brew poly, buffed. It is ~ 6.75 " tall by 4.5" at the widest.

The vessel is hollow and opens from the bottom (as these things do - learned something), Zarr placed inside (double bagged - sounds so odd), bottom glued shut with CA glue.

Very little ornamentation on this one - wanted a more serious look - with the exception of a hand carved cat shaped bone bead I inset in the top.

I still miss this kitty - I have him now in a place of honor on my display shelf.
