Gilding the Lilly

Sometimes a little embellishment can compensate for mother nature's mistakes in wood grains. This 9 inch tall twisted peppermill was turned from honey locust. There were some darkened grain areas on one side that ruined the overall look of the peppermill so I decided to add some embellishment with texturing and metallized paints.
