Finial is ebonized ironwood

Not the best pics as I still need to set up a photo tent
C & C welcome as I am still learning.

I should add that the pyro work is a first for me.

This is a beautiful piece. I like the form. The change in curve below the finial lends a nice element of surprise. The pyro work and resulting contrast and texture certainly don't look like a first attempt. Congratulations.

Thanks for sharing John. Very nice work. You are either a natural at pyro (would that be a pyromaniac?) or you practiced a lot before tackling this piece. The texture you achieved is striking.
