Big leaf maple burl, cherry, ebony. ca. 4.5 X 3 inches.

Carved surface motif inspired from plant anatomy, namely water conducting cells of wood (tracheids)

Thanks for the feedback. This is a new design for me and one I'll continue to experiment with for awhile.
